The puzzle is an exact list: every cubelet has a whole-number slot and orientation, so the cube never drifts out of line.
When you drag, the arrows of the face you grabbed are projected to the screen. The one closest to your finger picks the layer and the direction.
Inside every cubelet sits a soft 3×3×3 lattice of springs. Each node is pulled towards its place in the cube, so cubelets shear, squash and bulge.
A damped spring drives each twist past its target and back, which is the overshoot. The turn is committed to the puzzle at the halfway point.
Solve simplifies your move history and plays the inverse back, faster if it is long.
Every sound is made live from oscillators and filtered noise. There are no audio files.
