Rope. A chain of 20 links hangs from the branch and carries the pinata as a rigid body, so every hit swings it away and back like a real pendulum.
Panels. The shell is cut into a few hundred papier-mâché panels joined by hinges with health. Hits dent them, crack the seams, leave flaps swinging on one hinge and knock pieces loose.
Candy inside. Every sweet is simulated inside the shell, rattling against its walls, and only gets out through real holes.
The pile. On the lawn, candy bounces, rolls and falls asleep into a settled pile that costs nothing until you sweep it.
Sound. Every thwack, rip, rattle and cheer is synthesised live from oscillators and filtered noise.
This pinata is a live 3D simulation and needs WebGPU or WebGL2, and this browser offered neither (or the graphics driver turned them off).
