The school is a boids flock: each fish keeps its distance, matches its neighbours and steers to their centre, around coral, glass and sand. A slow finger becomes their leader; a fast swipe or a shark scatters them.
Every coral has a health value. Fish nearby, food and cleaning raise it, storms and murky water lower it, and healthy corals slowly heal their neighbours. Colour climbs from base to tip.
Caustics and god rays are drawn from a live wave surface: your finger and food drops ripple it, storms whip it up.
At night the light turns blue, healthy corals fluoresce and plankton glows where you move.
